About the Photographer

Joanna has been traveling the globe experiencing and photographing people and places for a long time. Her fascination with exotic cultures and indigenous people, her curiosity about their history and her sense of adventure has led her to embark on numerous sojourns and safaris.

She considers herself a humanitarian photojournalist and she has documented the recipients of micro finance loans through her work with NGO’s in Tanzania and Honduras.

During her most recent trip to Peru, Joanna decided to offer photo tours with mini workshops for travelers. Everyone loves beautiful travel photos; they are a big part of the memories so why not learn how to capture those moments. Throughout Africa, South America and Europe, Joanna has listened to many travelers sad stories about how they were so disappointed with the images when they got home. The images were either under or over exposed, out of focus, off in color and faces were dark in most of the photos, just to mention a few.

The mini workshops are a great way to learn the basics of photography and to have your images critiqued during your tour. We will cover areas that you, the traveler, want to learn. All levels and experience is welcomed! Everyone learns by sharing………….

You don’t have to be a professional photographer to join our trips, just have the desire to travel and if you so desire, learn about how to create beautiful award winning travel photos.
